Sports Massage
Athletes at all levels benefit from massage: Bodywork can and should be an important part of your training. Virtually every ache, pain, or injury connected with training can be helped or prevented through properly applied massage techniques.
Your highest potential: to compete at your highest potential, your body must be able to flow—uninhibited—through any given motion a sport requires. Any inhibition can cause a drop in performance; several small muscular problems scattered throughout the body may work together to destroy one’s freedom of movement.
Bodywork gives an edge: Bodywork stimulates circulation, breaks up scar tissue, relaxes muscle spasm, reduces swelling and relieves pain. Sports massage can speed recovery from injury and helps to prevent muscular injuries. It reduces the strain and discomfort that comes with training, decreasing recovery time and allowing you to train more consistently. Bottom line: receiving regular bodywork leads to increased performance.
Individual attention: Sports Massage sessions are designed specifically for the individual athlete and may incorporate a variety of techniques such as deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, circulatory massage, and passive joint movement.
